Flipper Football is a pinball game designed by Bryan Hansen and Python Anghelo and manufactured by Capcom. The game is themed after an international football (soccer) match, with the player using the flippers to score a goal by shooting the pinball through a bank of 5 drop targets at the back of the playfield. It is often criticized by some as being an uninteresting single-player game, but a very popular multiplayer game. Flipper Football is the only production game to use a 256x64 DMD (four times as many dots as a standard DMD), and like Cirqus Voltaire, the DMD is located under the playfield glass.
