Cabinet

The cabinet forms the body of a pinball machine. It is generally constructed by a sub-contractor/cabinet maker out of plywood. The sides were then decorated using a variety of methods:

  • Stencils: A number of metal stencils are used to create a complete, simplistic, multi-color image -- 1980's and prior
  • Screen-printing directly onto wood - used in the 1980's
  • Screen-printing onto vinyl-covered wood
  • Screen-printed decals applied to wood - used on some WPC-95 games
